Graham has been involved in the
Newsagency industry for 12 years, 10 of which were spent
at newsXpress Robina.
Graham’s
involvement in the industry has not just been limited to
experience in the shop environment, he has always been
actively involved in the industry at both State and
National level.
During his time
as a newsagent, Graham was successful in winning the
Queensland Newsagents Federation (QNF) Queensland Retail
Newsagent of the Year award twice, and also spent time
on the QNF Board as a Director and later as President.
He is also one of the founding members and directors of
the newsXpress Group, and still holds a board position
with newsXpress.
Graham also
spent time with The Golden Casket Association, again as
a board member, and later as President. Graham held the
role of President with both QNF and The Golden Casket
Agents Association until he resigned after selling his
newsagencies in 2006.

John
commenced work at age 15 as office boy with A.M.L. & F,
an English based stock & station agency. In 1976, John
(with his wife Barbara and 4 daughters) transferred to
Brisbane in an executive position with A.M.L. & F.
In
1983, John resigned and he and Barbara bought their
first newsagency - Logan City News in Brisbane which
they had for 3 ˝ years. Their next venture was Paradise
Point News at the Gold Coast for 6 ˝ years. After
selling Paradise Point News, John & Barbara went to
Noosa for 12 months purchasing and running Noosaville
News and opening up Noosa Village News for Wingate
Properties. John eventually sold both newsagencies.
After
returning to the Gold Coast John commenced working for
Newsagency Sales in 1997 initially selling newsagencies
on the Gold Coast and later expanding to the Sunshine
Coast.

Chris has been in business
for over 25 years, from import and
communications, to retail. He successfully
negotiated the sale of his own business to
a NYSE listed company before becoming a
newsagent in 2002, acquiring (in partnership)
the 3 newsagencies at Westfield Garden City
(newsXpress Larry, Moe & Curly). During his 6
years as a newsagent he designed and implemented
three cutting edge shops fits, re-negotiated new
leases, and was actively involved in helping
colleagues in the industry.
Chris successfully
completed due diligence by Deloittes and Ernst &
Young, and brings a wealth of hands-on business
experience to the NSQ team.
Robert brings a wealth of Newsagency experience, having
owned and operated his newsagency in Townsville for
twenty years and as Chairperson of the Townsville QNF
Branch for thirteen years.
There is little that Robert is not aware of in the
newsagency Industry and many of you will have sought his
advice on some aspect of the Industry as Branch
Chairperson.
